Job Description
Field Service Engineer – London/South East England
A Field Service Engineer will install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and otherwise maintain all supported products in their assigned region ensuring all service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled to exceeding customer expectations. This requires expertise in IT and Communication systems, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Due to strict UK security clearance requirements and right to work, applicants must be eligible.
Job Duties
- Attend Incidents in a timely manner, to meet SLA's and restore customer equipment to a working condition.
- Perform all types of scheduled maintenance activities for your assigned area including but not limited to; system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair (‘Break/Fix’) using basic test equipment of all products and associated equipment in accordance with procedures and within designated timeframes.
- Complete all administrative duties, which include but not limited to; spare parts inventory up to TEA2, field activity reports, return material Authorisations, expense reports etc. within the prescribed timeframes.
- Provide feedback to the team leader and take part in continuous improvement projects as required to improve processes and find efficiencies.
- Maintain all aspects of your assigned region to include but not limited to; responding to customer needs, maintaining system configurations, customer contacts, establishing a rapport with assigned customer base.
- Working as part of a regional team, supporting members of your team and teams in other regions.
- Join an ‘on call’ rota to provide 24/7/365 support to our customers.

Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- IT literate with an IT background in various forms:
- Experience as a Field Engineer.
- Excellent customer facing skills.
- Desktop: MS-Windows 11 and 10.
- Server and Storage: MS-Windows 2016 and above.
- Active Directory, WSUS.
- MS-Hyper V or knowledge of other virtualisation technologies.
- Networking Skills.
- A willingness to travel (perhaps other regions.) to customer sites.
- Be able to approach any situation with a cool head, logical, methodical manner.
- Training will be provided to expand your knowledge and skill base.
Desirable
- Experience of "ICCS" and/or working in a secure/control room environment.
- Working knowledge of radio, i.e. DMR/Tetra and/or Airwave.
- Networking – Cisco literate or qualified.
- Working knowledge of MS-SQL

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
