What You Will Be Doing

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide a technical service to customers, including:
    • Maintenance and repair of Ricoh Graphic Communication, Print products and Pre/Post-Processing equipment
    • Ensuring satisfactory service in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Perform installation and de-installation of Ricoh Graphic Communication products, ensuring:
    • Project milestones are met efficiently
    • Contractual obligations are fulfilled
    • Customers are kept updated on progress
  • Responsible for escalation of technical problems as per service processes to:
    • Minimise equipment downtime
    • Ensure timely resolution
  • Maximise revenue by:
    • Identifying additional business and professional service opportunities
    • Reporting opportunities through correct channels
  • Support business relationship management with:
    • Customers
    • End users
    • Goal: Maximise customer satisfaction
  • Manage and control:
    • Vehicle stock
    • Account stock to:
      • Improve first-time fix levels
      • Minimise stock losses
  • Operate in out-of-hours and shift roles as required, including:
    • Weekends
    • Public holidays

Ideal Skills & Experience

Seek applicants with:

  • Previous experience in a Field Technician role, preferably within Production Print
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the entire Ricoh Graphic Communication (RGC) product range
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven fault-finding techniques
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Electrical engineering
    • Mechanical engineering
  • Skill in using electronic diagnostic tools
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand complex mechanical instructions
  • IT literacy
  • Excellent networking capabilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with company service procedures
