About The Role
As our Field Service Engineer in the UK, you will be the crucial link between our advanced robotic systems and the people who rely on them. You are the on-the-ground expert, ensuring our platforms are operationally ready and performing at their peak for our UK military partners. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you’ll solve complex technical challenges in real-world environments.
Your work will directly contribute to the success of our customers, missions and shape the future of our technology. By providing expert support and gathering critical field insights, you will collaborate closely with our engineering teams in Germany, driving the continuous improvement of our autonomous ground systems.
What You’ll Build
- Deploy and ensure peak performance of our autonomous robotic systems at customer sites across the UK
- Serve as the direct link to our UK military partners, building trusted relationships and ensuring their mission success
- Diagnose and solve complex challenges across hardware, software, and communication systems in dynamic, real-world environments
- Integrate and validate cutting-edge technology, from new hardware payloads, sensors, and advanced communication systems (Tactical Radio, 5G, SatCom)
- Become a product expert, providing hands-on technical training to empower users and partners
- Manage and maintain critical high-voltage battery systems, ensuring safety and operational readiness
- Act as the crucial feedback loop to our engineering teams in Germany, directly shaping the future of our platforms based on your field insights
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and service reports that drive operational excellence

What You Bring
- Proven hands-on experience from a background in mechatronics, electronics, robotics, or a similar technical field
- A strong aptitude for troubleshooting complex systems, spanning hardware, software, and network communications
- Experience in a field service, technical support, or engineering role where you worked directly with customers or end-users
- Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces (like CAN, Ethernet) and experience with embedded systems or scripting (e.g., Linux, Python)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build strong relationships
- A proactive, self-starter mindset, with resilience to solve problems independently in challenging field environments
- The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to customer locations across the UK and occasionally to our HQ in Germany
- Experience with tactical communication systems, high-voltage batteries, or working within the UK defence sector is a significant plus, but not a requirement
- Fluency in English
