Field Service IT Support Engineer
IT Field Support Engineer
Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established Business Service Provider, who promote an environment of individual growth and progression, and are looking for an IT Field Support Engineer to cover their west country/southwest region of clients.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage clients on a day-to-day basis
- Visit clients on site to deliver exceptional IT support
- Ensure all clients are up to date with their current IT licenses
Due to this position’s travel requirements, which are regionally across Birmingham, Bristol, and southwest areas, a full, clean UK driving licence is essential to apply. There is some flexibility for remote working when not visiting clients.
Their ideal candidate will have:
- Strong 1st & 2nd line IT support experience
- High proficiency with Microsoft Windows servers, desktop platforms, and Office applications
- A polite, analytical, and customer-centric approach

Skills & Experience
Technical Skills:
- High proficiency with Microsoft Windows servers (Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022)
- Desktop platforms (Windows 10/11)
- Office applications (Office 2016/2019/365)
- Microsoft Active Directory (including 365 directory sync)
- Experience with Office 365 administration and implementation (desirable)
- Knowledge of VoIP telephony, RMM systems, and automated ticketing systems (desirable)
- Experience with routers, firewalls, and switches
Soft Skills & Experience:
- Polite and professional manner, always customer-focused
- Experience solving issues from diagnosis to completion
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day interactions with clients, including regular updates
- Ensure customers are up to date with relevant licenses and assets
- Provide onsite support across Birmingham and southwest areas
- Act as primary point of contact for customer escalations
- Address complex issues in compliance with contractual requirements
- Travel to various client sites
- Work with the IT Sales Manager to recommend more supportable products

Salary: c£32,500 per annum (DOE) + Company Car
Job Type and Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM
