Field Service Project Manager
Project Manager – Technical Safety Services (TSS)
Location
Office-based in Rochester, Kent, with occasional travel within the UK.

In 2024, Clean Air Technologies Ltd (UK) joined TSS. Established in 1998, CAT is one of the largest Cleanroom and Containment facility certification companies in the UK.
TSS ensures the safety and compliance of the equipment our customers use—helping ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory adherence in world-leading labs across the US and UK.

Job Opportunity – Project Manager (Entry-Level to 2 years’ experience)
Your Impact
Project Managers plan, execute, and monitor diverse projects while working cross-functionally to deliver results on time, within budget, and scope.
This role is open to candidates without direct PM experience—we offer training, mentoring, and certification-to-qualification support (e.g., PRINCE2). It’s an opportunity to develop specialist project management skills in a niche yet impactful market:
- Cleanroom and Bio-containment facilities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align requirements and expectations.
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Project Execution
- Support task execution based on defined plans.
- Monitor progress, milestones, and deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate issues, risks, and conflicts.
Team Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative working environment.
- Organise team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation (plans, reports, minutes).
- Generate stakeholder progress updates.
- Analyse project outcomes to improve future efforts.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure deliverables meet client and compliance standards.
- Engage in reviews, inspections, and testing.
Risk Management
- Develop risk assessments for all project stages, including Method Statements.
- Review subcontractor documentation as required.
Commercial & Bid Management
- Produce competitive quotations.
- Create work packages and review supplier proposals to align with project needs.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields.
- 0–2 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, construction, or project support roles (or equivalent training).
- A mix of education, hands-on experience, and certifications can also meet qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of project management, HVAC, or construction experience.
- Proficiency in project management tools/software.
- A Levels in mathematics, biology, and physics (advantageous).
- Project management certification (desirable) (e.g., IPMA, APM, PMI, PRINCE2).
Key Requirements
- Full UK driving license (essential for field travel).
- DBS Checks (required for client site access).

- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Team collaboration and leadership ability.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
