Field Service Representative

Airline Support Field Service Representative – Full-Time (37 hours/week, Mon-Fri with on-call)

Roles are globally mobile, based near customer operations. Initial posting: Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) for a 3-year assignment.

Please note: Partners may accompany the successful candidate, but children are not supported on this assignment.


About the Role

Join Rolls-Royce Aftermarket Operations Airline Support Team as a highly mobile Field Service Representative. This customer-focused position supports Rolls-Royce Civil Engine customers, ensuring seamless operational fleet and service delivery worldwide.

As part of a dynamic and proactive team, you’ll build strong relationships with airline operators across all levels, promoting communication, issue resolution, and alignment with business objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop trusted relationships with customers to facilitate effective communication of critical business updates, data collection, and intelligence gathering.
  • 24/7 support for customers through approved IT systems and channels, focusing on timely issue resolution.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities related to Rolls-Royce products and services, ensuring trends in warranties, guarantees, and airline debt are flagged to senior teams.
  • Provide customer forecasts, fleet planning, and shop visit coordination.
  • Actively seek new sales opportunities for Rolls-Royce products and services within airline operations.
  • Represent Rolls-Royce professionally, building and maintaining global relationships with colleagues and customers.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Customer-facing technical/servicing experience, with proven relationship-building skills.
  • Strong self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative for a fast-paced global environment.
  • Awareness of airline line-maintenance practices and aviation regulations.
  • Strong networking and advocacy abilities to uphold Rolls-Royce’s position across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Technical familiarity with gas turbines, including operational and functional knowledge.
  • Industry expertise in the aviation/civil aviation sector with a demonstrated understanding of Rolls-Royce’s product and service range (or ability to adapt quickly).
