Field Service Representative
Airline Support Field Service Representative – Full Time (Globally Mobile)
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and delivery-driven individual to join our Aftermarket Operations Airline Support Team as an Airline Support Field Service Representative.
This position is globally mobile and focuses on providing Operational Fleet and Service Delivery support for Rolls-Royce Civil Engine customers. The role will initially be based in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) for a 3-year assignment, with deployments internationally as needed.
Key details:
- 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
- On-call availability
- Based in Ethiopia for 3 years initially (partners supported, children not permitted)
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with customers at all levels to facilitate effective communication of critical business messages while ensuring a trusted data and intelligence exchange.
- Provide 24/7 operational support for customers, resolving issues through IT systems and channels with clear, timely resolutions.
- Proactively identify potential product and service issues to enable early risk mitigation.
- Monitor warranties, guarantees, and airline debts while reporting key trends to management.
- Provide inputs for customer business forecasts, fleet plans, and shop visit plans.
- Identify potential sales opportunities for Rolls-Royce services within the airline’s operations.
- Build and maintain global relationships with colleagues and customers through strong communication, representation, and negotiation in challenging environments.

Preferred Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience in customer-facing roles within a technical or services environment.
- Familiarity with gas turbine operations, functionality, and maintenance (preferred).
- Highly self-motivated, flexible, and adaptive to function effectively in a fast-paced, multination environment.
- Awareness of airline operational practices and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of the civil aviation sector and/or ability to quickly acquire understanding of Rolls-Royce products and service contracts.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills with proven ability to represent Rolls-Royce effectively.
- Culturally and commercially aware, with comfort operating in ambiguity amid rapid change.

Salary & Career Level
- Expected remuneration within SNBG 7–10 grades (adjustable based on candidates’ experience and qualifications).
