Field Service Representative UK RAF Lossiemouth / Onsite
About the Role
Rolls-Royce contracts to deliver technical support services and maintenance for domestic/international air forces, focusing on fast-jet and transport aircraft engines. As a Field Service Representative, your primary accountability is to:
- Provide local engine technical support for RAF Lossiemouth and occasional deployments to RAF Coningsby and Rolls-Royce Bristol HQ.
- Resolve operational technical issues to minimise disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Maintain seamless relationships with customer, OEM, and supplier organisations.
Security Clearance Essential: Only candidates eligible for a UK Security Clearance may apply.
Responsibilities
With this role, you’ll deliver the following outcomes:

Technical Issue Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues in line with contracts, meeting regulatory standards and satisfaction targets.
- Proactively manage issues to swift resolution to prevent operational delays.

Fleet Maintenance & Data Management
- Input and analyse engine operational data, escalating reliability issues to wider teams.
- Monitor and forecast fleet availability for customers, aligning operations with short-term scheduling needs.
- Liaise with customer communities to manage expectations and confirm service confidence.

Customer Relations & Maintenance Leadership
- Lead engine maintenance activities, ensuring OEM/technical standards are met.
- Interface with all levels of stakeholders (customer, Rolls-Royce, suppliers) to maintain a trust-based collaborative relationship.

Key Requirements
To succeed in this position, you must:
Technical & Professional Capabilities
- Proven technical ability at HND level or via equivalent propulsion/maintenance experience (e.g., ML1/ML2 qualifications or engineering/service experience within the propulsion trade).
- Aircraft propulsion systems knowledge: Familiarity with regulations (military/civil) and hands-on maintenance or operational experience.
- Demonstrated customer-facing proficiency, including complaint resolution and expectations management.

- Activation of Prerequisites
- Security Check Requirement: UK clearance (dual nationals eligible in MoD-approved cases only).
- Nationality Policy: UK national or approved dual national status applies due to working with defense capabilities.
