Airline Support Field Service Representative
Full Time - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with on-call | Globally Mobile
The Core Opportunity
We’re seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and delivery-driven individual to join our Aftermarket Operations Airline Support Team as an Airline Support Field Service Representative.
This globally mobile role will require travelling to key locations worldwide, initially including a 3-year posting to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
Entrants will be based at a main regional hub but will spend substantial time internationally on assignments, often with minimal notice.
Please note: Candidates selected for this role will be expected to live and work in Ethiopia for the initial 3-year tenure. Extension beyond this term and relocation of partners may be possible, but supporting dependents (e.g., children) across this assignment is not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be pivotal in fostering enduring partnerships through:
- Cultivating trust and open communication across every management level, ensuring effective data collection and delivering critical intelligence.
- Providing 24/7 operational support—acting as a dedicated bridge between customers and Rolls-Royce’s technical/India systems to streamline issue resolution.
- Spotting potential product or service issues to enable pre-emptive risk management.
- Tracking and reporting on:
- Warranty and guarantee expiry trends,
- Payable airline receivables (debt trends),
- Fleet plans and shop visit timelines.
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities tied to the airline’s operational needs.
- Representing Rolls-Royce on the global stage through strong interpersonal and networking skills, securing our position during challenging discussions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
