Join our dedicated team as a Field Service Technician, maintaining, repairing, and delivering exceptional service to our customers across a range of construction and earthmoving equipment. You’ll split your time between onsite customer locations and our workshop, ensuring top-tier performance in both environments.
This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and the satisfaction of troubleshooting and completing jobs from fault diagnosis to finished repair.

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the face of CEA at customer sites, delivering consistent excellence. Key tasks include:
- Diagnosing machine faults and performing troubleshooting on various construction and earthmoving equipment
- Executing scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance and major repairs efficiently
- Alternating between fieldwork and workshop-based tasks to maintain and repair equipment
- Completing repairs safely, accurately, and on time while adhering to manufacturer warranty requirements
- Recording detail in service reports, job cards and documentation
- Building trusting customer relationships through professional, reliable service delivery
- Maintaining high safety, workmanship and housekeeping standards at all times
- Complying with company procedures, industry OHS regulations and safety protocols

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a relevant discipline
- Hands-on experience with earthmoving, construction or mobile equipment
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge, with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Exceptional troubleshooting abilities to efficiently resolve faults
- Clear communication and strong customer service skills
- High autonomy – the ability to manage tasks and priorities without constant supervision
- A reliability-focused mindset with a commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
- A current and valid driver’s licence
