- Reports to: Service Technician Team Leader
About The Business & Role
We support a global leader in emergency evacuation and life safety solutions, ensuring critical systems are always mission-ready. Due to rapid expansion, we’re recruiting a Field Service Technician to maintain vertical field operations.
Core Objectives
- Execute maintenance, repairs, and installations on life-safety and patient-handling equipment across diverse sites.
- Provide first-class customer service through proactive, technologically agile execution.
- Drive commercial insights—identifying upsell opportunities whilst aligning with compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution
- Carry out planned/emergency servicing—installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance—using detailed checklists.
- Deploy a variety of specialised safety products in hospitals, care facilities, and commercial buildings.

Operational Workflows
- Efficiently schedule visits using company systems to optimise customer impact.
- Compile daily digital reports on tablets (including notes/photographic records) for client satisfaction.
Commercial & Collaborative Engagement
- Capitalise on service visits by identifying upsell/replacement opportunities for the internal sales team.
- Work closely with scheduling, commercial, and customer experience teams via remote/on-site collaboration talks.
Administrative Obligations
- Manage on-site vehicle inventory, submitting monthly stock reports.
- Champion health/safety compliance at all times (both company and site-specific protocols).
Minimum Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record in field-based maintenance/servicing (mechanical, engineering, or technical product areas).
- Exceptional customer service—record of promptly resolving issues with tact and professionalism.
- Immaculate oral/written communication skills, particularly English, with meticulous attention to accuracy.
- Competency with tablets and digital tools (cloud software, communication platforms).
- Capacity and willingness to operate as a self-directed problem-solver, adapting to variable schedules.
- Valid UK driving licence (for the listed postcodes).

Desirable Boons
- Experience with healthcare equipment/maintenance (medical diagnostics, patient-handling hardware).
- Familiarity with health/safety audit systems or fire safety audits.
- Understanding of asset/incident management software.
