Are you a Construction Machinery Service Technician or Plant Fitter looking for a role with a main dealer that offers career development?
At T H White Construction we are proud to be a main dealer for Sany, Manitou and Mecalac – all leading brands of construction machinery.
We are recruiting for a skilled & experienced Service Technician / Plant Fitter to join our construction aftersales division.
This is a mobile work-from-home role. You'll be supporting our customers with servicing, repairs and breakdown support across our territories.
We have been supporting the local construction industry for over 40 years, and as a group we’ve been supporting British industry since 1832. Still family-owned and proudly independent, we’re known for doing things the right way, looking after our engineers, building long-term customer relationships, and investing in the future.

Hours
39 hours a week, Mon- Thurs 08:00-16:30 Fri - 08:00-15:30
Additional overtime (paid a time and a half) is available earlier and later should you wish to earn more.

Key Duties Will Include
It’s a good mixture of both mobile and workshop duties working on varying sizes of Excavators and similar construction machines.
Duties
Alongside depot work you will be covering your local area, as part of a skilled, supportive aftersales team with duties including:
- Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Diagnostic work across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out on-site repairs
- Pre-delivery inspections and warranty support
The Ideal Applicant
You might be an experienced construction plant technician, or working with similar machinery such as agricultural equipment, forklifts, lifting equipment etc. Either way, you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering a reliable, high-quality service.
- A recognised qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy machines
- Demonstrable work experience working on construction machines or very similar
- A customer-focused approach and confident communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
