Are you passionate about coffee? Do you possess exceptional technical skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love troubleshooting and fixing complex machinery? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become an integral part of our team as a Coffee Machine Field Service Technician. Ideally looking for a candidate in Greater West London or surrounding areas - Slough, Uxbridge, Chiswick areas.

Location: Field-based – West London
Hours: Full Time Monday - Friday (hours to be agreed)
Salary: Competitive

What You'll Do

As a Coffee Machine Field Service Technician, you will be the coffee connoisseur and technical expert on the front line, ensuring our customers enjoy uninterrupted coffee experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Expert Equipment Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing coffee machines at customer locations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum satisfaction, ranging from thorough fault finding to accurate diagnosis. Ensure all coffee equipment is left in excellent working order, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Efficient Site Surveys and Installations: Conduct site surveys and equipment installations, ensuring seamless operations and functionality.
  • Timely Filter Exchanges: Promptly carry out filter exchanges as needed or directed, contributing to the smooth operation of the coffee equipment.
  • Consistent Coffee Quality: Ensure that all work aligns with the agreed equipment specifications, resulting in consistent coffee quality. Promote first-time fixes leading to customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive Communication: Collaborate proactively with your line manager, seeking day-to-day instructions and providing regular updates on workload to ensure customers are kept informed about the progress of their service.
  • Adherence to Arrival Procedures: Comply with all on-site arrival procedures, contacting a Manager/Supervisor on-site to introduce yourself and seek permission before commencing any work on the equipment.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Prioritise safety and adhere to Health and Safety procedures. Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment and promptly inform the company management of any identified risks.
  • Thorough Documentation: Complete all necessary online job sheets, time sheets, and supporting documentation in a timely manner before leaving the premises. This ensures accurate record-keeping and validates client satisfaction.
  • Care of Tools and Vehicles: Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles provided by the company in good working order. Report any faults, breakages, or equipment failures to your line manager daily for prompt resolution.
  • Organized Vehicle Stock: Keep the vehicle stock organised and regularly replenished as per the vehicle stock v0.03 document. Email your line manager with a pick list to ensure efficient stock management.
  • Customer Training: Educate customers on machine operation, maintenance, and best practices, empowering them to enjoy the perfect cup of coffee every time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to share insights from the field, contributing to the constant improvement of our coffee machines.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Aptitude: A strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues effectively.
  • Experience: Previous experience in coffee machine repair or a similar field.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with excellent communication skills to interact with customers and address their needs professionally.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think on your feet and find innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Coffee Passion: An unyielding passion for coffee, its origins, and the art of brewing the perfect cup.
  • Time Management: Strong organisational skills to manage your schedule efficiently and ensure timely response to customer requests.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude, willing to work closely with our team to achieve our common goals.
  • Full clean driving license: This is a field-based role so you will need to travel daily to customer locations, plus occasional travel to company meetings.
  • Computer literate: Ability to complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.
  • Flexible approach: Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, location and hours.
