About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves technical project delivery in the field, ensuring seamless operations across assigned regions.
The ideal candidate will:
- Liaise effectively with customers, contractors, and colleagues
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to problem-solve independently
- Work primarily on-the-road, covering sites within North East England, including holiday relief in Scotland

Responsibilities
Technical & Operational
- Perform basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment
- Execute Preventative Maintenance and on-site field modifications
- Procure and track replacement parts for equipment repairs
- Maintain accurate records of customer service logs, inventory levels, and business mileage
- Monitor and maintain tools and calibration of test equipment
Customer & Team Collaboration
- Engage in daily communications with customers and headquarters to ensure issue resolution and follow-ups
- Apply the escalation process for complex service or delivery challenges
- Work as part of a local team to provide efficient service across assigned territories
Commercial & Compliance
- Identify sales opportunities while contributing to commercial targets
- Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental Health, and all regulatory requirements
- Drive profitability through process efficiency and customer service

Requirements

- Previous experience in a field engineering role (advantageous but not essential)
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration
- Ability to work independently or part of a fast-paced team
- Keen problem-solving abilities, coupled with a high attention to detail
- Current valid driving licence (due to extensive travel requirements)
- Foundational knowledge of equipment used in food processing or industrial settings
