Role Description The Field Services Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Newbury, providing hands-on technical support and services to clients. In this role, the engineer will visit customer locations to install, configure, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring minimum downtime and optimal performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work completed. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues, support project implementations, and ensure smooth service delivery. A strong focus on professional communication, timely response, and a positive customer experience is essential.

Qualifications
- Strong field service capabilities, including on-site installation, configuration, and support of IT systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices to reduce failures and improve system reliability.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term client relationships.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, Microsoft Windows environments, and common business applications.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to client sites as required.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
