About the Role

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering excellent customer service? Kingspan Light, Air + Water is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our growing Service Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, oil separators, and rainwater harvesting solutions while building your technical expertise through ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, commission and inspect wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, oil separators and rainwater harvesting systems
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs with a strong focus on first-time fix
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Carry out confined space entry activities safely and in accordance with procedures
  • Complete detailed service reports using company PDA software
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and support teams
  • Carry out site-specific risk assessments before commencing work
  • Maintain van stock and ensure vehicle checks are completed daily
  • Keep customers informed of arrival times, progress updates and recommendations
  • Promote service plans and upgrade opportunities where appropriate
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and quality standards

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar role
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile/PDA systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Physically capable of working in demanding site environments

Desirable Criteria:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering experience
  • Experience within wastewater, utilities, pumps or water treatment sectors
  • Knowledge of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations
  • Previous confined space working experience or certification

Pay range and compensation package

  • Annual Salary range: from £30,000.00 to £33,000.00
  • Annual Leave: 33 days
  • Pension Scheme: 5% company match
  • Life Assurance: 4x your salary
  • Tools Provided: Company van and tablet
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (42 hours/week)
  • Lunch Allowance
  • Attendance bonus
  • Overtime Rates: Time and a third (Mon–Fri outside regular hours); Time and a half on optional Saturdays
