Field Service Engineer

Location: Within 1 hour of Chippenham (South West England) with extensive UK travel

Salary: £40,000 – £46,500 + Overtime + Benefits

Contract: Full-time | Shift patterns available (4 on, 3 off or 5 on, 2 off)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing clean technology business.

This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, receive specialist product training, and play a key role in supporting customers and installers across the UK.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll provide nationwide technical support, carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs and installation assistance for innovative domestic heating systems. Working closely with the technical support team, you'll ensure customers receive a first-class service while helping to develop installer knowledge and confidence.

The role involves regular travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays, with the opportunity to move into a regional territory as the team continues to expand.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing faults on domestic heating systems.
  • Attend customer sites to carry out servicing, repairs and technical support.
  • Support new product installations, ensuring installers are fully confident with the equipment.
  • Deliver practical training and guidance to third-party installation partners.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and software to efficiently identify and resolve faults.

About You

You'll have experience installing, servicing or repairing domestic heating equipment and enjoy working independently while providing excellent customer support.

You'll ideally have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Gas boilers
  • Electric boilers
  • Heat pumps
  • Renewable heating systems
  • Domestic plumbing and heating equipment

You should have the ability to travel extensively across the UK, including occasional overnight stays and a full UK driving licence.
