Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices
Respiratory Diagnostics | East Midlands to North East
£38,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary + £10,000 Annual Bonus + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits Package

Territory
Covering the East Midlands through to the North East, including:
- Derby
- Nottingham
- Sheffield
- York
Occasional travel to Newcastle and Sunderland
Candidates based anywhere across the region will be considered, with ideal locations including Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield or York.

The Role
As a field-based engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining an installed base of highly sophisticated respiratory diagnostic equipment within hospitals and healthcare facilities across your territory.
You will play a critical role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service whilst helping deliver improved patient care through reliable and efficient medical technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Fault diagnosis and equipment repairs
- Installation and commissioning of new systems
- Software updates and connectivity support
- Customer training and technical assistance
- Ensuring service level agreements are consistently achieved
- Supporting equipment roll-outs and implementation projects
The role will involve occasional overnight stays depending on customer requirements and project activity.

You will ideally bring:
- Experience of field-based service engineering
- Knowledge of software upgrades, networking and connectivity concepts
- A project-focused approach to problem solving
- Technical engineering qualifications or relevant technical training
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- The ability to explain technical concepts to end users and clinicians
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility to travel and stay away when required
- A full UK driving licence
