We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join Nidec Drives as Field Service Engineer, who will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to our clients and ensuring that our products are running efficiently.
This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of technology and company products.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer consist of but are not limited to:
- To Install, configure, and troubleshoot our range of drives products on-site or remotely
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support via phone, e-mail, or in-person
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on our products
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify and resolve customer issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation and service manuals
Travel Requirements:
Required to travel as and when needed across the whole of the UK and Ireland.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Proven experience within a related variable speed drives and servo environment
- Experience working with Low voltage rotating machinery (up to 690 VAC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
