Job Title: Field Service Engineer – Medical Systems

Location:

Field-based, M1 Corridor with travel throughout the UK as required.

Salary:

Competitive salary per annum + Company Vehicle

Job Type:

Permanent, Full-time Monday – Friday 37.5 Hrs

About the Role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a leading medical equipment provider specialising within the Respiratory Diagnostics market. You will manage the installation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and ad hoc repairs of medical systems across the NHS and private healthcare sector, making a direct impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Autonomous Territory Management: Plan and execute daily maintenance and service visits with minimal supervision on a range of Respiratory diagnostic and related products.
  • Complex Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate clinical equipment on-site or within our service facility when required.
  • Installations & Upgrades: Setup and commissioning of new medical equipment, ensuring seamless handover to hospital staff.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain meticulous electronic service records in strict accordance with guidelines and ISO standards.
  • Customer Support: Responding to customer issues in a timely manner.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Ideally HND Level or relevant experience in engineering.
  • Qualifications: HNC, HND, or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of proven field service experience working with medical, scientific, or clinical laboratory devices. Ideally in a medical based environment preferably respiratory medicine or sports science field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills in, electro-mechanical fault-finding, and all round PC and networking skills with a basic knowledge of SQL Server or other databases desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent time management and the communication skills required to manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Requirements: Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
