Role Description
The Field Services Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting customers in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of waste compaction equipment. Day-to-day activities include traveling to customer sites as required, performing diagnostic assessments, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. The role involves providing technical support, training operators on proper use and basic upkeep, and documenting service activities in line with company standards. The Field Services Engineer collaborates closely with the customer service and engineering teams to resolve complex issues, improve equipment reliability, and uphold high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong field service skills, including on-site installation, commissioning, and repair of industrial or mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical faults efficiently.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices, including routine inspections, adjustments, and component replacement to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build positive relationships with clients.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage schedules, and maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Comfort with remote work tools, including digital documentation, mobile devices, and basic office software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required; prior experience in waste management or industrial machinery is an advantage.
