Field Service Engineer

Manchester - Leeds - Nottingham

UK-Wide Travel Required – Regular Overnight Stays

£40,000-£45,000 (+OTE £50,000-£55,000 with Overtime)

We are currently partnering with a leading manufacturer of woodworking and panel processing machinery who are looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their growing Edgebander Division. The business supports a wide range of CNC and woodworking machinery across the UK and continues to invest in its service capability and customer support network.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically biased engineer who enjoys a customer-facing role, problem-solving in the field, and working on specialist industrial machinery.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown support on edgebanding machinery at customer sites throughout the UK. The position will involve extensive travel and occasional overnight stays, providing a varied and autonomous working environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
