Position Overview
Location: Crawley & West Sussex (Seeking a candidate in or near Crawley) Job Type: Full-time, permanent (Monday to Friday, daytime only, with weekend cover on a 1-in-4 rota) Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (DOE) + 13 guaranteed weekends’ overtime (approx. +10%, paid regardless of callouts) + performance-based bonuses Benefits:

Purpose of the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of our business, installing, maintaining, and repairing coffee equipment across our diverse portfolio of customer accounts.
Each day will vary, blending planned maintenance with reactive calls for machine malfunctions and breakdowns. After completing full training, you’ll receive support from our Technical Team to schedule your workload, balancing autonomy with realistic job assignments. This ensures:
- Strict adherence to safety and legislative regulations
- Delivery of customer requirements on time
- Prompt, efficient, and cost-effective first-time fault resolution
Your responsibilities include:
- Monitoring part usage to meet the company’s ‘First Time Fix’ KPI
- Managing inventory via a tailored buy box system unique to your assigned area
- Conducting individual calls with support from an experienced team when needed
- Ongoing training as required
Experience Requirements
Candidates must have:
- At least one year of experience in a similar Field Service role
- A strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
- A proven track record of success in customer-facing service environments

Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) certificate in Electrical/Mechanical or relevant workplace experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Proven history of meeting/exceeding KPIs
- Full UK driving license (valid and unrestricted)
Personal Attributes Required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Logical approach to problem-solving
- Methodical fault-finding
- Reliable timekeeping
