Field Services Engineer

Field Service Engineer – Central Scotland

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our technical team at Myrtle, a family-run Scottish business delivering high-quality vending solutions and coffee equipment since 1984.

About the Role We’re known for innovative thinking, reliable service, and strong customer partnerships—supporting cafés, restaurants, offices, retailers, hotels, and public sites. This role allows you to install, maintain, and repair a range of equipment while ensuring minimal disruption for our clients.

What You’ll Work On

  • Hot drinks, confectionary, and cold vending machines
  • Table-top office coffee systems
  • Traditional espresso machines
  • Bean-to-cup machines
  • Commercial grinders

Your work will support minimal downtime and top-tier service for our customers, backed by our back-office team and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair coffee and vending equipment
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Accurately record service activity
  • Manage van stock and report part usage
  • Collaborate with the back-office team to prioritise service calls

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Strong proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience in customer-facing service
  • Full UK driving licence

Preferred

  • City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) or relevant workplace experience
  • Field service experience in coffee or vending
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for coffee and quality service

Role Details

Location: Central Scotland (field-based) Working Hours: Monday–Friday (daytime, occasional weekend cover) Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Benefits:
