Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role based in Nottingham. The Field Services Engineer will install, configure, and maintain Canon equipment at customer locations, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues
- Performing preventive maintenance
- Providing timely technical support to resolve hardware and software problems
- Direct customer interaction, explaining service work, offering basic user guidance, and documenting service activities accurately
- Collaborating with internal teams to escalate complex issues
- Following company service procedures
- Upholding safety and quality standards during all field visits
Qualifications
- Strong field service capabilities, including experience with on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of technical equipment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to ensure reliability and extend equipment life
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build positive relationships
- Relevant technical education or certification (e.g., in electronics, mechanical engineering, IT, or related disciplines)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
- Comfort working independently in the field, with strong time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within the Nottingham area as required
- Experience with imaging, printing, or related office equipment is an advantage
