Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role based in Nottingham. The Field Services Engineer will install, configure, and maintain Canon equipment at customer locations, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Performing preventive maintenance
  • Providing timely technical support to resolve hardware and software problems
  • Direct customer interaction, explaining service work, offering basic user guidance, and documenting service activities accurately
  • Collaborating with internal teams to escalate complex issues
  • Following company service procedures
  • Upholding safety and quality standards during all field visits

Qualifications

  • Strong field service capabilities, including experience with on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of technical equipment
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to ensure reliability and extend equipment life
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build positive relationships
  • Relevant technical education or certification (e.g., in electronics, mechanical engineering, IT, or related disciplines)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
  • Comfort working independently in the field, with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within the Nottingham area as required
  • Experience with imaging, printing, or related office equipment is an advantage
