Field Services Manager

Field Services Manager

Char.gy

We are a leading charge point provider and operator for electric vehicles in the UK, managing over 5,000 public charge points. We are committed to providing reliable, convenient, and affordable charging infrastructure that is accessible to all, particularly the 40% of UK households without private driveways that rely on public charging.

We believe our employees are the electric spark igniting our success. We’re dedicated to our culture and ensure that every individual feels charged up and empowered to accelerate their career, which is why we have been recognised as a "Great Place to Work" and a "Living Wage Employer". Together, we’re shaping the future as society’s preferred EV charging network.

Delivery Overview

In 2026, char.gy expects to be awarded multiple contracts with Local Government organisations and private landlords to deploy Charging Points (CPs) across the UK and ultimately expects to deploy over 60,000 CPs by 2030.

The Delivery Team is growing to meet this demand, and we require a Field Services Manager to manage a team of professionals who deliver electrical installation, small works, maintenance, and repair activities across multiple regions in the UK. The quality of the network we create is essential to the success of delivery projects, as is the relationship with our customers. This role will ensure a safety-first, high-quality, and high-availability network of charging points is delivered and maintained.

Position Overview

The Field Services Manager will report to a Head of Delivery and manage a team of Team Leaders (Qualified Supervisors), who have a team of Project Engineers to deliver the work. The post holder will be empowered to support the Delivery Projects, Success Team, and Customers using the tools provided to achieve the goals of char.gy and the contracts it signs. This leadership role blends technical electrical expertise with operational management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring right-first-time installations and meeting SLAs/KPIs for maintenance work on the char.gy network.
  • Ensuring the network upholds health and safety on site and mandates adherence to H&S requirements for operatives from supplier or customer organisations.
  • Conducting Quality of Work, Health and Safety & Behavioural Audits via their team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
