Job Summary

As a UK Field Service Technician at Cubic Transportation Systems, you’ll maintain and repair Cubic equipment across Transport for London and National Rail infrastructure. This hands-on role ensures smooth operations while upholding exemplary customer service—key to a global leader with over 50 years of transportation expertise and contracts across five continents.

You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues on high-profile projects, tackling challenges in modern automated fare collection, contactless payments, and next-gen transport technologies.

Note:

  • Permanent day shift role
  • 4x4 shift rotation

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on Cubic equipment
  • Respond urgently to fault callouts, reduce equipment downtime, and adhere to maintenance protocols
  • Engage in continuous training and process improvement initiatives
  • Support equipment installations across clients
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations and quality standards
  • Manage field deliveries and collections of equipment modules
  • Contribute to project work led by Field Service Team Leaders
  • Deputise for the Field Service Team Leader when required
  • Conduct vehicular and personal equipment stock checks (e.g. FORs accreditations)
  • Follow company policies and procedures

Essential

✅ Five-year driving licence, clean and active ✅ Proven experience in technical service/maintenance roles ✅ Engineering qualification (e.g., degree or HND/Diploma) ✅ Strong customer service focus and communication skills

Desirable

✔ Common HNC qualification in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering ✔ Experience managing Service Level Agreement (SLA)-driven maintenance contracts
