This role is responsible for providing maintenance and repair of client equipment on Cubic maintained assets under the guidance of the Field Services Team Leader and provide support to the Maintenance Engineer.

A preventative Maintenance role. 5 Day Night Shift (Sunday to Thursday)
The purpose of this role is to ensure that Cubic equipment is responded to, returned to full service and maintained to the highest standard possible whilst achieving relevant contractual SLA’s.
This position offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technology within the transportation sector. With an extensive list of high profile projects you will be exposed to all areas of transportation technologies including the latest innovations in automated fare collection and contactless payments. Continuous variety and guidance from senior members of the team will afford you the opportunity to become a subject matter expert within this sector.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out first and second line maintenance on any equipment as contracted to CTS at any time
- Respond and repair Cubic devices in a timely manner and follow defined maintenance procedures to maximise device reliability and availability.
- To undertake the training and development programme provided to the best of your ability.
- To constantly improve performance through training, experience and KPI feedback.
- To minimise downtime on fault call outs.
- To assist with the installation or commissioning of equipment as required by CTS management.
- To ensure that all relevant working practices comply with the statutory Health and Safety at Work Act and external Customer requirements as applicable.
- To deliver and/or collect equipment modules from stores locations
- To assist with stock control or fault control if deemed necessary by CTS management.
- To aim at maintaining of quality principles compatible with current ISO standards.
- Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven ‘hands on’ experience working in a high-tech Service/Maintenance environment
- A recognised Engineering Qualification.
- Ability to work 5 night shift pattern.
- Experience of working in a Service/Maintenance environment.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Good communication skills.
Desirable:
- HNC or equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Worked on SLA driven contracts with call to fix and system availability criteria.
