Morrison Energy Services is currently looking to recruit a Field Technical Specialist for our E.ON Smart Metering contract, based in London.
About the Role
As part of our commitment to enhancing and maintaining essential infrastructure, you will provide day-to-day technical support to meter technicians across the field. Reporting to a Field Supervisor within the London team, your role is central to delivering electricity and gas metering services, including traditional and smart meter installations and maintenance across London, the South of England, and Scotland.
The E.ON Smart Metering Contract supports the replacement of five million meters, in alignment with government targets since May 2016. In this role, you will ensure safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction while fostering a fun, supportive, and respectful work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to ensure field technicians comply with:
- Statutory and company procedures (ISO27001, MOCOPA, MAMCOP, OAMI, and Gas Safe accreditations)
- Monitor field performance, identify issues, and drive timely resolution
- Support the Supervisor in:
- Training field technicians to meet contract objectives
- Retaining and developing key personnel
- Offer technical advice to field technicians in the London area
- Assist in investigation reports and customer complaints resolution

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in the utilities sector, with comprehensive Smart Metering knowledge
- Proven people development and motivational skills
- Relevant certifications/qualifications related to Smart Metering
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities
- Demonstrable health & safety awareness
- Strategic mindset, customer-focused attitude
- Proactive, enthusiastic approach to problem-solving

- Annual Salary: £46,623 (M25 catchment)
