Field Technician- Water Recycling
Field Technician (Water Recycling)
Salary: Circa £31,756 – dependent on skills and experience Payments & Perks: Standby payments + business use of company van Hours: 37 hours, Full-Time (with flexibility for part-time working) Location: Spalding to Peterborough & surrounding area (must be within 20 minutes’ travel)

The Role – Field Technician (Water Recycling)
As a Field Technician in Water Recycling Services, you’ll be critical to safeguarding the environment, public health, and maintaining our infrastructure.
You’ll address sewerage issues, including: ✅ Blockages, odours, flooding, and emergency incidents ✅ Delivering outstanding customer service within regulatory standards ✅ Standby duties (out-of-hours emergency response)
Safety is our priority – adherence to health and safety protocols is mandatory.
Ideal for passionate candidates who love hands-on work and are dedicated to environmental sustainability.
Your Key Duties Include:
- Operating a single-person, high-pressure water jetting unit (and related CCTV equipment)
- Investigating & diagnosing sewerage issues for first-time resolution
- Responding to incidents and planned maintenance work
- Accurate recording of site feedback through IT systems
- Predominantly lone-working, engaging with internal and external customers daily
What It Takes – Key Requirements
- Experience or willingness to work outside in all weathers
- Hands-on/physical experience is beneficial
- Basic IT skills (for recordings/reports)
- Ability to work autonomously and independently
- Strong customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred (4.5-tonne licence advantageous; training provided if needed)
Physical Requirements: ✔ Must be able to work in confined spaces & at heights ⚠ Warning: Harness weight limit (113kg max) and completion of occupational health checks (including Hand-Arm Vibration – HAV assessments)
