FIG M&A Associate / VP
We are supporting a leading investment banking and advisory platform in London with the expansion of its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team.
The group is actively growing its coverage across Europe, advising a range of financial institutions including banks, insurers, asset managers, fintech and specialty finance clients on strategic M&A and capital markets transactions.
This is a high-exposure role within a deal-focused team, working closely with senior bankers on both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Tasks: Lead and support execution of FIG M&A transactions, including sell-side and buy-side advisory mandates Prepare and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, accounting, and commercial advisors Contribute to origination efforts through sector analysis, pitch materials, and client engagement Support senior bankers in developing strategic ideas for financial institutions clients Manage and mentor Analysts and Junior Associates where applicable (VP level) Engage directly with clients, including CFOs, CEOs, and corporate development teams Monitor FIG sector trends across banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, and specialty finance
