How You’ll Power Our Business In Operations
As a Filling Operative at Flogas, you’ll power our whole business – as well as thousands of businesses and homes across your area. Working in a close-knit team at one of our depots, you’ll help keep our delivery drivers on the move, and our customers connected to the energy they need. Whether you’re filling up LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) cylinders, loading those cylinders onto vehicles and trailers, or supervising the filling of bulk vessels, you’ll put safety first every time. Because at Flogas, if it’s not safe, it’s not done. We can rely on you to get the job done. You can rely on us to treat you right.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely fill LPG cylinders, following strict safety regulations and operating procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Ensure efficient stock control of LPG cylinders, managing supply and demand levels to support smooth daily operations.
- Safely load and unload LPG cylinders from vehicles and trailers, ensuring secure handling and correct stacking procedures.
- Follow strict health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with Flogas operating procedures and HSE guidelines.
- Identify and report ‘near misses’ and workplace hazards, promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Handle heavy objects using correct manual handling techniques and lifting aids where necessary.

What we’ll need from you as a Filling Operative
- Lots of team spirit, plenty of initiative, and the ability to multi-task – so that everything gets sorted efficiently and safely for your colleagues and customers
- Ability to handle heavy cylinders
- A commitment to protecting everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing in all that you do
- A reliable, flexible and co-operative approach that sees you communicating clearly with your teammates and customers
- It would be ideal if you had experience of safe handling and storage of dangerous goods and a counterbalance forklift truck licence, but we can give you training in these areas if needed
- A full driving licence is desirable – but not essential
