About The Role
Film Scene Description Specialist (AI Training)
What if your eye for visual storytelling could directly influence how AI understands film? We're looking for Film Scene Description Specialists to watch short video clips and translate them into rich, structured visual descriptions — helping cutting-edge AI models learn how scenes are staged, paced, and emotionally constructed.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role ideal for anyone with a genuine passion for film, television, or visual media. No professional experience in the industry is required — just a sharp eye and the ability to articulate what you see on screen.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Watch short film and video clips and break them down into precise visual beats
- Describe camera movement, framing, blocking, pacing, and mood in structured detail
- Capture tone and emotional atmosphere using purely visual indicators — no dialogue references
- Follow standardized formatting guidelines to produce consistent scene summaries and beat-by-beat breakdowns
- Re-watch clips as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain high quality and consistency across a large volume of scene descriptions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
