Finance/Accounts Manager - Camden (Hybrid) - £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

My client, an independent block management company based in Camden, are seeking an experienced Finance/Accounts Manager to join their team. They specialise in residential property management services across the capital.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be managing the accounting function for a portfolio of 45 blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain service charge accounts for residential developments.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors on certified accounts.
  • Reconcile service charge funds and reserve fund accounts.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Prepare annual service charge budgets in collaboration with Block Managers.
  • Monitor cash flow requirements across the property portfolio.
  • Oversee all client bank accounts and ensure compliance with client money regulations.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash balances and reserve funds.
  • Manage debt collection.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to Director and Block Managers.
  • Oversee supplier payments and contractor invoices.
  • Ensure service charge demands are issued accurately and on time.
  • Monitor arrears and work with Block Managers to recover outstanding balances.
  • Review and authorise payment runs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant property management regulations and accounting standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in finance within the property industry
  • Strong understanding of block management
  • Experience with service charge accounts desirable
  • Ability to work independently
