Finance Analyst
Wakefield Head Office (Office Based)
£35 - £40K Basic DOE + Career Progression

Help Drive the Financial Success of One of the UK's Fastest-Growing Dental Groups
Space Dental is expanding, and we're looking for an ambitious, analytical and commercially minded Finance Analyst to join our modern Head Office in Wakefield.
This isn't a traditional accounts role. You'll work closely with our Finance Director and senior leadership team, transforming financial and operational data into meaningful business insight that supports strategic decision-making across our growing network of practices.

What You'll Be Doing
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly management reporting packs.
- Analyse Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow performance.
- Produce budget vs actual and month-on-month variance reporting.
- Monitor EBITDA, gross margins and financial performance.
- Provide insightful commentary on trends, risks and opportunities.
Commercial & Operational Analysis
- Analyse treatment revenue, patient finance and business performance.
- Report on sales pipelines, treatment conversions and revenue trends.
- Monitor refunds, treatment liabilities and finance provider activity.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Finance Systems & Data
- Reconcile and analyse data from multiple business systems including Xero, Dentally and patient finance platforms.
- Investigate discrepancies and improve data accuracy.
- Develop reliable reporting templates and dashboards.
- Support automation and continuous improvement projects.
Financial Controls
- Complete bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review accruals, prepayments and deferred income.
- Monitor aged debtors, creditors and supplier reconciliations.
- Support robust financial controls across the Group.
Practice Performance Reporting
- Analyse practice profitability and performance.
- Report on clinician revenue, treatment mix and associate costs.
- Review chair utilisation, sales performance and operational KPIs.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities across multiple locations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Finance, Management Accounts, Commercial Finance or Financial Analysis.
- Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups and advanced formulas.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets and Cashflow.
- High attention to detail with the confidence to question unusual results.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to improving performance.
Desirable
- Experience using Xero and multi-site reporting.
- Knowledge of Dentally or healthcare finance.
- AAT qualified or studying.
- ACCA or CIMA part-qualified (or working towards).
- Experience within healthcare, dental, retail or other multi-site businesses.
