Finance Analyst
Finance Analyst - Scripted (Permanent) | ITV Studios UK Finance

About the Role
The ITV Studios UK Finance function supports our dynamic scripted production labels within a fast-paced, creative environment. We maintain financial precision through accurate reporting, careful control, and seamless collaboration. Expect adaptability, cross-team coordination, and the opportunity to play a key part in safeguarding financial robustness while creative content thrives.
As a Finance Analyst – Scripted, you’ll report directly to the Finance Manager and partner with Head of Finance to deliver vital financial oversight across our scripted television labels.
This is a highly varied, action-packed role—ideal for a part-qualified accountant eager to grow expertise in scripted production while contributing to momentous content creation.
Core Responsibilities
Daily tasks will include—but are not limited to—financial accuracy, data reporting, and operational controls across various core areas:

Month-end Financial Reporting
- Preparing key inputs, calculating & posting journals.
- Ensuring accurate intercompany recharge tracking.

Financial Controls & Reconciliations
- Proactively investigating Balance Sheet discrepancies and proposing clear financial resolutions.
- Managing bank reconciliations and foreign currency revaluations.
- Weekly supplier payment processing.

Forecasting & Reporting
- Assisting the Finance Manager in preparing monthly forecasts and executing submissions via Hyperion.

Royalties & Development Tracking
- Administering programme royalties and generating required financial reporting for participants.
- Maintaining the development tracker, updating show statuses, and facilitating payments with supporting documentation.

Transactional & Billing Management
- Issuing customer invoices and purchase orders, managing vendor payments, and ensuring complete billing compliance.

System & Compliance Work
- Updating corporate finance systems with new contracts and projects.
- Assisting with statutory accounts, audits, and tax-related queries.

Expense Management
- Processing purchase orders, posting invoices, managing company credit cards, and overseeing expense claims for the team.
Minimum Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant (minimum recorded progress towards a relevant qualification).
- Practical knowledge of the scripted TV production lifecycle (understanding creative pipelines, funding models, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a focus on data analysis and modelling.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong accuracy, and the ability to interpret financial data.
- Proven capability to work under pressure, prioritise conflicting deadlines, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualities (Highly Desirable)
- Operational experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or Sage systems.
- Awareness of High-End Television (HETV) tax credits (a recognised advantage).
- Exceptional planning, coordination & organisational skills.
- Excellent written & oral communication, with experience building relationships across seniority levels.
- A self-starter approach: Adaptable, proactive, and eager to grow in a fast-evolving industry.

Potential Challenges
- Balancing multiple priorities across different production brands and office locations.
- Variable workload: While 40 hours/week is the minimum, deadlines (month-end reporting, audits, studio rushes) may impact hours.
