Do you want to play a key part in one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects? Are you looking to progress your finance career within a supportive, hands-on team? Do you enjoy working with complex data, stakeholders, and seeing the impact of your work every day?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our Infrastructure Finance team, supporting Wincanton’s prestigious EDF contract across our distribution sites. This is a varied and demanding role, central to the successful delivery of supply chain services into the Hinkley Point C build programme, a project helping Britain achieve Net Zero.

This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00 with a requirement to work from our Weston-Super-Mare office 4 days per week. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of £30,000, depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports to support accurate and timely customer invoicing
  • Support month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and closing activities
  • Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, ensuring strong financial controls and accuracy
  • Produce KPI and non-financial reporting to support operational and contractual performance
  • Work closely with operational teams and stakeholders, providing finance support and insight

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
