Finance Analyst – Pharma Services

The Role
Almac Pharma Services is recruiting for a talented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic financial team. In this role, you will:
- Deliver comprehensive financial insights to drive strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure precise analysis, reporting, and decision-support
- Contribute to our continued success by providing clear, actionable data-driven recommendations
Responsibilities
- Provide KPI reporting and margin analysis, presenting findings through graphical dashboards, spreadsheets, and concise reports
- Use pivot tables and financial modelling in Microsoft Excel to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Develop and maintain strategic financial narratives that aid executive and stakeholder decision-making
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across functional teams
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to enhance operational efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional departments (including R&D, Clinical Services, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations)
- Identify financial risks and recommend cost-saving measures

Requirements
Essential:
- Eligibility to work in the UK (or a valid work permit for full-time, permanent employment)
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics-related discipline OR Part-qualified Accountant (or experience equivalent to full qualification)
- Demonstrable experience in KPI reporting and margin analysis, with the ability to:
- Clearly and consistently visualise financial data via graphs, charts, and tables
- Present findings effectively to stakeholders (e.g., finance, operations, leadership)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Mastery of pivot tables, data analysis tools
- Financial modelling, statistical functions, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights
- Effective communication skills to explain technical findings to both financial and non-financial teams
Desirable:
- Certification in financial management (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CFA)
- Prior experience in a pharma, biotech, or regulated industries environment (advantageous but not essential)
