Finance Analyst Role – Vistry Southern
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our team in our Basingstoke office. As our Finance Analyst, you will support the Regional Finance Manager and Regional Finance Director in providing:
- Financial and commercial analysis
- Internal and external reporting
- Financial control with a focus on joint venture (JV) activities

What we’re looking for
Essential Requirements
- Align with our company values: Integrity, Caring, and Quality
- Strong academic record with Strong GCSE/A levels or equivalent
- Experience in Joint Venture accounting principles, including:
- Production of Financial Statements
- Reporting responsibilities
- Very good understanding of:
- Microsoft Office
- Outlook
- Excel (essential)
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Strong mathematical and IT skills
- Ability to work to high precision and accuracy
- Good understanding of the business and its financials
- Ability to clearly explain technical financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels
- Strong team-working skills
- Effective time management
- Honesty and discretion
- Willingness to work extra hours when business demands require
Desirable Qualifications
- Working towards a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACCA/CIMA
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly at a residential housebuilder
- ** knowledge of housebuilding industry**
- Experience using COINS (ERP System)

Key Responsibilities
- Support the production of:
- Joint venture (JV) budgets
- Forecasts
- Monthly management accounts adhering to strict deadlines
- Generate regular management information including:
- Weekly and monthly JV-related reports
- Performance comparisons against plans to ensure runs, trends, and risks are clear and communicated
- Oversee JV overheads and raise requisite:
- Accruals
- Prepayments
- Journals for statutory compliance
- Monitor and report on outstanding:
- Sundry debtors and credit risks
- Raising tasks:
- Ad hoc sales invoices
- Purchase orders
- Coding invoices for JV relevant expenses
- Maintain and update financial systems for JVs and assist with development
- Create ad hoc JV reports supporting functions and decision-making
- Provide general team support as needed
