Cammach is currently recruiting a Finance Analyst for an immediate start with our Aberdeen based client. This is a contract opportunity running until December 2026, offering a hybrid working arrangement.
ROLE
To work within the FR&A team to deliver the Annual Plan process, performance reporting & analysis. The role requires regular interaction with the business to ensure forecasts are robust & delivered on time. The candidate will therefore need to be proactive & have the ability to engage widely across the business.
- Compilation of the Financial Plan and monthly LV’s along with insightful performance reporting and analysis.
- Support the Forecasting & Reporting Manager on delivery of Shareholder reporting & utilising key systems (currently BPC Planning);
- Reporting and delivery of timely management reporting for both Actuals and Forecast, utilising key systems (currently ERP, BW & BPC Consolidation, BPC Planning & Power BI);
- Assist with driving continuous improvement in systems, forecasting & reporting and driving change, which meets finance and business stakeholders requirements.

- Prepare forecasts in a robust and timely manner, including but not limited to the Plan, and LVs, for the current year plus five further years, with inputs sourced from the FP, Tax & Treasury and FO;
- Prepare updated cost forecasts for the business (Lifting Costs, Overheads, Exploration Costs, Abex and Capex) with inputs sourced from the FP, Tax & Treasury and FO;
- Deliver & Co-ordinate all forecast inputs in accordance with the corporate calendar and engage with key stakeholders to ensure delivery.
- Drive completeness and consistency in all aspects of the forecast and be responsive to changing management priorities where appropriate;
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in Finance; Have the business and finance knowledge to efficiently facilitate interchange and relationships between FP, Tax & Treasury and FO, and within FBP.
Requirements
- Accounting Qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS)
- Data Analytics & Financial tools: ability to use relevant financial tools (e.g. SAP, BW, BPC and excel) and to maintain, extract and analyse data.
- Critical Thinking: ability to make decisions based on sound logic and to challenge assumptions.
- Delivering Process Excellence through Automation & Efficiency: ability to identify opportunities to optimisation of Finance processes.
- Collaboration: the ability to build effective working relationships across the team and wider organisation.
- Driving Delivery: driving success by taking personal accountability for own goals.
- Previous commercial and analytical finance experience
- Track record of creating robust forecasts and budgets as well as underpinning materials prepared with sound financial accounting knowledge
- Experience of varied systems including BW and BPC, and highly proficient with delivering controlled Excel spreadsheets
- Working knowledge of Upstream taxation
