A leading specialist insurance and financial services organisation is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join its growing finance team in London. The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to invest heavily in its people, systems, and operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where finance plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and business performance.

Your new role

Reporting into the FP&A Manager, you will support the delivery of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis across the organisation. You will work closely with both finance and operational stakeholders to provide meaningful insight that drives performance and supports business growth.

  • Producing monthly management reports and performance analysis
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Analysing financial results, trends, and variances, providing actionable insights
  • Building and maintaining financial models to support strategic decision-making
  • Business partnering with stakeholders across finance and operational teams
  • Assisting with month-end activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Developing reporting processes and identifying opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects, scenario analysis, and commercial initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working in an insurance finance team
  • Studying towards or qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
