Finance Analyst

Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Working Pattern: 4 days per week in the office, 1 day working from home

A national services business are seeking to recruit a Finance Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong management accounting background who enjoys maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This role would suit a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or someone who is qualified by experience.

The Role

You'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the financial records, supporting the month-end process and helping ensure strong financial controls across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring all reconciliations are accurate and up to date
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Investigating and resolving balance sheet queries and reconciling discrepancies
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Producing financial analysis and reports to support business decision-making
  • Working closely with operational teams to improve financial processes and reporting

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Experienced in a management accounting or finance analyst role
  • Confident preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
  • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • A strong communicator who can build effective relationships across the business
