Junior Business Controller / Finance Analyst
- Location: Bournemouth
- Working model: Hybrid – 3 days in the Holdenhurst Road Hub and 2 days WFH

The Role
This is a great opportunity for a developing finance professional who wants to move closer to the business.
As Junior Business Controller, you will support the UKI Business Control team with reporting, analysis, forecasting and commercial insight. You will help senior finance leaders understand performance, spot trends and support better decision-making across Hubexo UKI.
You will work with commercial, technology, content, finance operations and revenue operations teams. You will need to be accurate, curious and confident enough to ask questions when the numbers do not make sense.

This role suits someone who has started their finance career, understands the basics of accounting, and wants to build stronger commercial finance experience in a B2B technology or SaaS-led environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare weekly and monthly trading updates, business review packs and KPI reports for stakeholders
- Support month-end activity, reviewing profit and loss performance, balance sheet data and commercial trends
- Calculate monthly commission accruals and support review with senior commercial leaders
- Support budgeting, forecasting and preparation of commercial review materials
- Maintain finance and commercial trackers, including retention reporting
- Respond to stakeholder queries and provide clear, useful financial information
- Investigate variances between actual performance and budget and identify root causes
- Support ad hoc analysis for the Head of Finance and UKI Business Control team
- Work with finance, CRM and ERP data to support business decision-making
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Around 2–3 years’ experience in finance analyst, commercial finance, business control or a similar role
- Studying towards an accounting qualification with foundation-level exams completed
- Understanding of accounting principles and ability to interpret profit and loss information
- Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and explain insights clearly
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach

Desirable
- Experience in a B2B services, software or SaaS environment
- Exposure to systems such as NetSuite, CRM or ERP platforms
- Experience working with stakeholders across different business functions
