End Date: Monday 13 July 2026 Salary Range: £44,901 - £49,890 Location: Cardiff Temple Court (with additional locations in Bristol Harbourside, Chester, and Leeds) Hours: Full-time Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum two days in-office per week: at least 40% time allocation)
Job Description
Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance within our Transport business, working closely with senior leaders and Finance Business Partners to support decision-making and strategic delivery.
About This Opportunity
The Transport business is undergoing significant transformation, modernising customer platforms while navigating major shifts, including the transition to electric vehicles and evolving market conditions.
As part of the Planning & Performance Reporting team, you will:
- Deliver insights, reporting and planning to support strategic decision-making across Transport and Retail Finance.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, influence business outcomes, and gain exposure to a fast-changing, high-visibility area.
What You’ll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate the business’s performance narrative and assist in projecting future results through the planning process.
- Produce high-quality month-end reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and acting as a specialist in management accounting.
- Develop broad internal relationships across Finance, fostering collaboration between teams.
- Meet individual and team objectives while investing in your personal development through skill-building.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Qualified or final-year accountant (ACA or equivalent, such as ACCA, CIMA).
- 12+ months’ experience analysing performance and explaining drivers to senior colleagues.
- 12+ months’ experience maintaining strong financial control in core finance roles.
- Ability to demonstrate process improvements, illustrating curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- A high collaborator who enjoys engaging with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Experience
- Planning/budgeting background in a business context.
- Monthly performance reporting experience.
- Financial services industry familiarity.
- Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and Microsoft Suite.
