Job Description Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance within our Transport businesses, working closely with senior leaders and Finance Business Partners to support decision-making and strategic delivery.


JOB TITLE

Finance Analyst, Consumer Lending

SALARY

As per range (£44,901 - £49,890)

LOCATIONS

Primary: Cardiff Temple Court

Additional offices: Bristol Harbourside, Chester, Leeds

HOURS & WORKING PATTERN

Full-time, hybrid: Spend at least two days per week (40% of time) in one of our office sites.


About This Opportunity

The Transport business is transforming, modernising customer platforms amid industry shifts—including the move to electric vehicles and evolving market conditions.

As part of the Planning & Performance Reporting team, you’ll:

  • Deliver the insights, reporting, and planning critical for strategic decision-making across Transport and Retail Finance.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to influence business outcomes.
  • Contribute to a fast-moving, high-visibility area.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Communicate business performance narratives and assist in projecting future financial results through planning.
  • Deliver high-quality month-end reporting with robust controls, acting as a management accounting specialist.
  • Build a broad finance network, collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Meet individual/team objectives while investing in personal and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (or final-year student progressing towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA-equivalent) OR equivalent experience.
  • 12+ months analysing financial performance, explaining KPIs/drivers with senior colleagues.
  • 12+ months maintaining strong financial controls across core processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvements to processes, challenging the status quo.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to engage actively with diverse finance teams.

Desirable

  • Planning/Budgeting experience in a business context.
  • Month-end Performance Reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with the financial services sector.
  • Confident Excel/PowerPoint and Microsoft application usage.
