Finance Analyst – Investment Finance
Goodman Masson, in partnership with a leading global private markets investment firm, is recruiting a Finance Analyst into their Investment Finance team.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant to immerse themselves across private equity, private credit, and wider private markets strategies within a commercially-focused finance function. The team works closely with investment, investor-facing, and treasury teams to support live investment activity, liquidity management, fundraising, and strategic finance projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Partner with investment teams to support new transactions, ensuring:
- Approropriate funding arrangements
- Liquidity readiness
- Operational efficiency throughout the investment lifecycle
- Support treasury activities, including:
- Cash flow forecasting
- Liquidity management
- Foreign exchange (FX) execution
- Financing arrangements across multiple investment vehicles
- Produce commercial analysis and reporting to aid senior decision-making, covering:
- Liquidity positioning
- Investment performance
- Fund strategy and treasury direction
- Collaborate with Investor Relations on:
- Fundraising efforts
- Performance metrics
- Investor due diligence requests
- Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to:
- Establish new investment structures
- Facilitate fund launches and structuring
- Coordinate with external service providers, including fund administrators and auditors, for:
- Quarterly reporting
- Annual financial statement processes
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including:
- Automation enhancements
- Systems optimisation
- Efficiency scaling in collaboration with finance and technology teams
- Support cross-functional projects spanning finance, investment, treasury, and operations, supporting the firm’s continued scale and growth.

Key Requirements
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification) with 0 to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Training background in:
- Audit, transaction services, M&A, or corporate finance (in practice)
- Industry experience (fund accounting, investment banking graduate rotations, or private markets) would be ideal.
- Must have worked in private equity, private credit, investment management, or broader financial services.
- 2:1 degree (or higher) with an A grade (or above) in A Level Mathematics.
- Advantageous: Exposure to treasury, liquidity management, cash flows, fund structures, or investment performance analysis.
- Analytical aptitude with rigorous attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including fluency with complex financial models.
- Exceptional communication with the ability to build senior stakeholder relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive mindset able to:
- Take ownership of initiatives
- Troubleshoot challenges with innovative solutions
- Identify opportunities to refine processes.
