Finance Analyst – Production

Location: Northampton Brewery – Hybrid (3 days a week on-site) Job Length: Permanent – Full Time (35 hours)

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Finance Analyst – Production to join the Brewery Production Finance Team. This role focuses on improving financial performance and delivering insightful analysis across manufacturing operations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, gathering data and updating financial models
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insights and cost-control support
  • Maintain and enhance financial models, reports, and data accuracy (using Excel/BI tools)
  • Ensure audit compliance and internal controls, guaranteeing accurate and reliable reporting
  • Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes and data analysis
  • Enforce financial process adherence, especially around production spend, investment approvals, and cost allocations
  • Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Desired: Part CIMA Qualified, or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to analyze complex data, simplify findings, and present clear recommendations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and improve day-to-day operations
  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • Proficient Excel skills, including handling large datasets confidently
