Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst, 12-months FTC

Finance Analyst (L6/L7)

Sub Department: Commercial Finance Employment Type: Fixed Term – Full Time Location: London (Osterley, Sky campus)

About the Role

As a Finance Analyst within the Content & Platform Finance team, you will drive financial clarity for content investment and platform costs, offering actionable insights to inform strategic decisions. You will take ownership of reporting, forecasting, and cross-functional analysis to optimise performance, mitigate risks, and support both short-term execution and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End

  • Own and deliver the Content & Platform month-end close process with accuracy and deadlines.
  • Provide concise commentary on performance, explaining key variances vs. plan.
  • Produce targeted cost-area reports for deeper analysis.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Partner in forecasting and budgeting, owning designated P&L components.
  • Maintain proprietary financial models: some assumptions may kickstart conversations or raise red flags.
  • Proactively track forecast vs. actual performance, identifying risks and opportunities.

Content & Commercial Analysis

  • Analyse content performance and cost efficiency, diagnosing trends and inefficiencies.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations to optimise investment decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate across finance and commercial teams to build trust-based relationships.
  • Distill financial data into clear, actionable insights—dissolving jargon for non-finance leaders.
  • Provide rigorous yet constructive challenges, supporting better decision-making.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously identify reporting automation opportunities and workflow simplifications.
  • Advocate for higher data integrity and accuracy standards.

Communication & Insight

  • Present complex analysis with clarity (written + verbal feedback).
  • Tailor communication style for audience sophistication from executives to frontline teams.
  • Prioritise impactful interference: dig for hidden insights over surface-level summaries.

What You’ll Bring

This is a newly qualified (or part-qualified) commercial finance role:

  • Experience working in a commercially driven finance team (streaming/content expertise would be nice, but not critical).
  • Innate facility for insightful analysis and value creation.
  • JudgementÜ, stellar political and oral skills (challenging data feeds into confidence-building advice).
  • A multi-tasking swimmer—comfort with moving from content metrics to balance-sheet spreadsheets as needed, Patriot for "looking beyond the toolbar".
  • Strategic flexibility: proactively questions for revenue-rendering understanding, not just coverage.
  • Collaborative hustle: brings colleagues and customers along on the arc.
  • Bias for action (no writer’s block: measurements crack assumptions).
  • 10/10 attention to detail—your costs and budgets will be watertight.
  • Thrives in structured autonomy: owning execution in embrace of team coordination.
