External Quality Assurer – Role Description
We are currently recruiting External Quality Assurers (EQAs) to carry out and document quality assurance activities in line with City & Guilds and regulatory arrangements.

Our EQAs support our centres with current industry and quality assurance expertise.
As a City & Guilds EQA, you will:
- Maintain effective working relationships with our centres and the City & Guilds office.
- Plan and monitor quality assurance activities in line with our qualification requirements.
- Bring challenging yet rewarding industry expertise to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with City & Guilds and regulatory standards.
- Conduct visits to assessment centres, gathering evidence of quality.
- Provide constructive and supportive feedback to learners, assessors, and delivery staff.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in assessment practices.

Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet the following:
- Current and credible expertise in Finance and Accounting qualifications.
- Hold an appropriate assessor qualification (e.g., D32/D33 or A1/A2 or TAQA Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
- Achieved (or committed to working towards) the [6312-41] External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (TAQA) or its equivalent (D35/V2).
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to provide supportive and concise feedback to learners, assessors, and delivery staff.
- Ideally based within the specified regions (location details available in the full role profile).

Additional Information
Training for the External Quality Assurer role will be provided after successful application review and vetting.
- Appointment type: Contractual (annual basis).
- Employment status: Not directly employed by the City & Guilds Group (ideal for freelance or independent working).
- Opportunity to dual-role as an External Assessor alongside this position.
