Finance and Business Manager

FINANCE AND BUSINESS MANAGER

Full-time or maximum part-time Salary: £50,000 p.a. (FTE) Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + bank holidays (pro rata) Location: NowMedical offices, Chiswick (W4), West London

About NowMedical

NowMedical has provided medical advice services to local authorities and public sector organisations for over twenty years. Currently, we advise over 150 local authorities, including 22 of London’s boroughs, on housing-related matters, as well as acting as medical advisers to the UK Home Office and 30 Housing Associations.

Our team of 24 doctors, all experienced general practitioners (GPs) or specialist psychiatrists, utilises secure systems to ensure targets for caseload and timelines are met. We deliver over 60,000 assessments annually.

Our company culture is friendly and supportive, with a team of 12 admin/secretariat staff based in modern offices in Chiswick, West London. We have:

Person Specification: Key Requirements

  • Relevant finance/business experience
  • Highly competent in QuickBooks
  • Advanced IT skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred: Book-keeping/accountancy qualification
  • Preferred: Based in West London
  • Acute attention to detail required

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

(Key tasks include, but are not limited to:)

Finance Management

  • Managing invoicing processes
  • Monitoring debtor balances and chasing overdue payments
  • Tracking accounts receivable
  • Liaising with external accountants
  • Performing all necessary reconciliations
  • QuickBooks administration and maintenance
  • Maintaining accurate client account records
  • Strict credit control protocols

Business Management

  • Client liaison & support, resolving queries professionally
  • Managing client accounts, ensuring quality service
  • Onboarding new clients, ensuring smooth operational handover
  • Assisting with tendering processes
  • Overseeing data integrity & GDPR compliance
  • Balancing workload and case volumes, meeting KPIs
  • Negotiating contract renewals
  • Managing insurance policies and renewals
  • Liaising with our IT support provider
  • Office management, including workflow optimisation
  • Handling special projects as required
